This year we decided to add more flavor to our on-stage
performance and we added a guitar act, which was received with outstanding
acclaim! Food was again the center piece of the tasting displays at the back
of the LCR, and as usual it was gone in less than you can say "parangaricutirimicuaro"
(the name of a town in the State of Michoacan in Mexico).
At one point we thought that almost closing the performances
would be hard, but everyone at the LCR made us feel great!!! The first act was
a potpourri of dances from several States including the opening which was a
pre-hispanic dance. Following was a potpourri of songs, then the highly
acclaimed "Son de la Negra". The final act was a joint effort between the
guitars and our dancers with "La Bamba" both in Richie Valens's rhythm and the
traditional "son" rhythm.
