Arriving by Plane to Gatwick?
To get to Norwich you have two alternatives:
-
BUS
- It is now quite simple since most of the bus runs get to the
Union House inside UEA, except those that are very late or very
early. The air terminal to which you arrive depends an where you
made the connection, you can arrive to the north terminal (e.g.
from Atlanta) or the south terminal (e.g. Houston, Ireland). Below
you will find diagrams of both. The Company is called National
Express/Jetlink. Gatwick airport is actually the first stop in the
bus service from London airports to Norwich. They say it takes
5hr, but in reality you are looking at 7hr, especially in rush
hour.

- TRAIN
- You can take one of two routes:
A) Take the Gatwick Express (diagram below) to "Victoria" Station
(30 min) and from there take the subway "Circle Line" yellow and get
off in "Liverpool Station" (30 min).
B) Take the Thameslink train to "Farrington" (40 min),
once there follow the instructions to one of the following subway
lines: "Circle
Line" yellow or "City Line" pink. Get off in "Liverpool Street" (10 min).
To us this is the best route for trains because you are in the
London subway only a few stations.
Once in "Liverpool Street" the main exit is exactly in front
of the train platforms. Look for platform #10 where One
Anglia/Anglia Railways ticket offices are; there you can buy your
ticket to Norwich. The train ride lasts around 1:45.
