LIDL

Lidl belongs to a German chain store that sells at cheap prices, especially in cans and juices. There are two stores in Norwich and both are relatively small, more or less like a large 7-eleven. There you can find juice and milk in tetrapack, cans, cold cuts, wines, beer, snacks, cookies, soaps in general, frozen goods, and fruits and vegetables. The majority of the brands sold in Lidl are from the European Community that are usually not found anywhere else, nevertheless they are of good quality.

Lidl does not provide bags for your groceries as other supermarkets do. Therefore you have two options: 1) you take your own bags, even if they are from other supermarkets, or 2) you buy bags in Lidl. The bags that Lidl sells are larger, thicker and with handles so once you buy some you'll keep using hem for a while.

Getting There: If you are inside the University take bus #25 and get down in St. Stephens, cross to the other side and take #28, which will leave you in front of Lidl. The stop is in Mile End Cross. You can catch bus #28 in front of the Castle Mall, as well as #29 which also takes you there. On the way back, if you have many bags to carry, you can call for a Taxi. It should cost around £7.50 to take you to the University.
