The thrilling sport of Water skiing. You are pulled behind a motor boat or a cable-ski on a body of water. The skiier usually wears one or more skis and the surface area of the ski keeps the person skimming on the surface of the water allowing the skiier to stand upright while holding the tow rope. Wakeskating is an adaptation of wakeboarding with a similar design of board. Unlike wakeboarding, the rider is not bound to the board in any way, which gives the sport its own unique challenges. Instead, the top surface of the board is covered with griptape, (in a similar fashion to a skateboard) or a soft, high-traction, foam covering that is kinder to riders in the inevitable crashes. .
Barefoot skiinig is water skiing behind a motorboat without the use of water skis. Barefooting requires the skier to travel at higher speeds than conventional water skiing. Looks more like colonic irrigation than fun to me. It also seems to need a special tow rope. I doubt the Union will stretch to that so lets not bother.
